JUDGES People become Judges through one of two means. Either by election or by appointment to their position. All Federal Judges are selected by appointment by the executive branch with confirmation by the legislative branch. We, the People, can influence this process through our elected officials and elected representative. In the State of Texas All Judges are elected. They are, in effect, appointed by political parties and confirmed by us through the process of an election. We can be most effective in this process by becoming active members of a political party. Once the party has made the selection our duty as citizens is then to become informed about the Candidates offered by the parties. Our primary action project here is to provide you with the information you need for an informed decision. This sub-web is divided into two parts. One deals with ELECTIONS, and the other with APPOINTMENTS. Click on Elections for Voter Information or Appointments to find out what you can do. Contrary to popular belief they are ordinary people. To the idealistic and un-initiated they are like Gods or superhuman. To some who have had encounters with them, a baptism by fire through experience in the Courts, they are less than human. This site will reveal why it is true that our system has become warped allowing the less scrupulous, the less honorable among us, to acquire and advance in the hierarchy of positions in which we, the people, place our most sacred trust. We have the means to greatly improve the process of election. Unfortunately these means are not being utilized and the tradition sources of information have, for a variety of reasons, become increasingly neglectful in providing information voters need for an informed choice and less reliable in providing accurate and objective information. We also have the means to influence the process of appointments. We will show you how. |
