TAG (Texans for Accountable Government) established this Project - EYE On The JUDICIARY (TAGI) in response to revelations from the Texas Legislature's Sunset Review of the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct. In the course of that review it was revealed this Commissioners, and the Agency it oversees, have adopted a policy and practice that is opposed to the interest of the People of Texas, the best interest of the Government of Texas (aka, the State of Texas), and contrary to the very purpose for creation of the Commission.

Our US Constitution gives the purpose for which any free people establish a government;
“to preserve the blessings of Liberty and Establish Justice”

INITIAL OBJECTIVES:

1 - TAGI will provide the electorate with information on Candidates for Judicial Office

2 - TAGI will provide reviews on the performance of those entrusted with a Judicial Office.  

3 - TAGI will urge our Legislators to subject the Commission to another review in 2 years, rather than the 12 years span between review of other Agencies of the State of Texas.

4 - TAGI will take the lead in drafting a revision of the existing amendment through which the Commission on Judicial was created to better serve the purpose for it's creation.
